What is the FIL, Guadalajara International Book Fair?
The Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) is described as the “most important editorial meeting in Latin America and an extraordinary cultural festival.”
The FIL was founded 28 years ago by the University of Guadalajara. This fair is aimed at professionals and the public is welcome. Although it is a business meeting, the FIL “was conceived as a cultural festival in which literature is the backbone.”

There will be nine (9) days of the Guadalajara International Book Fair 2024.

Below, we present the schedules that the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) will have this year. The days are divided into those aimed at the general public and Exclusive professionals.
General public
November 30, December 1, 5, 7 and 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.*
December 2, 3 and 4, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
December 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (extended hours due to night sales)
Exclusively for professionals
December 2, 3 and 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The International Book Fair (FIL) in Guadalajara takes place at the Expo Guadalajara facilities.

Tickets for the International Book Fair can be purchased online through boletomóvil.com, as well as at the ticket offices at Expo Guadalajara. Prices are:
Adults: 30 pesos
Children from 3 to 12 years old, senior citizens with an INAPAM credential, people with disabilities, students, teachers and members of the University of Guadalajara Foundation who present their credential: 25 pesos
UdeG students with a valid credential: 20 pesos
