With the delivery of some 1,300 multiple immigration forms, the National Institute of Migration (INM) dissolved the migrant caravan that was traveling through Oaxaca.
The forms allow migrants, some adolescents and children traveling alone, to travel through the country in a period of approximately 10 days.
With this, they will be able to advance towards the border in various vehicles without being required by state authorities.
However, this is only one of the groups that has arrived in Mexican territory through Oaxaca.
The caravan was made up of more than a thousand people of different nationalities and arrived on December 2 at the municipality of Zanatepec.
The group of migrants claimed that they were denied access to public spaces to rest after walking almost 24 kilometers from San Pedro Tapanatepec.
The migrants stood on the side of the road and began a hunger strike, which pressured the authorities to attend to their requests.
With temporary permits they can travel by bus or continue on foot, as some prefer.
