Health personnel in Oaxaca set up six blockades at various points in the state, preventing traffic on the Pan-American and Trans-Isthmus federal highways that lead to Veracruz and Chiapas.
The protest is by personnel from subsection 02 of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, affiliated with Section 35 of the Union of Workers of the Ministry of Health (SNTSA).
The blockade of these six points is because they are seeking payment of a bonus that they have requested in cash.
For more than a week they have decided to start a work stoppage in seven hospitals and 180 health clinics due to what they consider to be late payments.
The personnel is also dissatisfied with their transfer to IMSS Bienestar, a new administrative figure that will be in charge of this group of workers.
In the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, there are about 700 dissatisfied workers who are asking for the payment of their incentives and the recognition of rights earned during their years of service.
With the strike that workers started, scheduled appointments and surgeries were suspended and only emergency services are provided in hospitals and health centers. This situation affects beneficiaries in this region of Oaxaca.
The blockades are located on the 185 Transístmica highway at km 294.
At the point known as La Nissan on the Tehuantepec – Salina Cruz stretch.

Another is on the 185-D La Ventosa Salina Cruz Highway at the height of the Plaza N 90 Ciudad Ixtepec toll booth.
