Mexican referee Katia Itzel García received a new recognition at the international level after a year full of good performances.
García, who has experience in multiple FIFA tournaments, was now pleased to be part of the best referees on the planet.
All this after the annual awards given by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) were announced.
The organization, which, summing up the work of the Mexican, placed her within the top ten on the planet, specifically in sixth place with 19 points.
Being surpassed by the iconic Rebecca Welch of England and Stéphanie Frappart of France, who are the first two in the ranking in 2024.
