82.6% of exports in Querétaro go to the USA

In November 2024, 82.6 percent of Querétaro’s product exports went to the United States, which placed it as the entity’s main country of international sales, according to data from the Ministry of Economy.

After the United States, Canada received 5.97 percent of Querétaro’s exports and in third place was the United Kingdom, with 1.94 percent.

By amount, Querétaro exported to the United States, during November of last year, products worth 1,075 million dollars, to Canada, for 77.8 million, and to the United Kingdom, for 25.3 million.

The main products marketed from Querétaro to the United States were: parts and accessories for motor vehicles (42.6 percent); turbojets, turboprops and other gas turbines (12.7 percent); dashboards, consoles and other bases for the control or distribution of electricity (3.27 percent); refrigerators, freezers and other refrigeration or freezing equipment (4.12 percent), and machines and appliances (2.3 percent).

These sectors would be the main affected in the entity by the threat of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, to impose a 25 percent tariff on Mexican exports, which was suspended for a month, announced the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

At a global level, the main international sale in Querétaro in November 2024 was made up of parts and accessories for motor vehicles.

In the third quarter of 2024, Querétaro registered 4,229 million dollars in exports, showing a decrease of 11.6 percent compared to the previous quarter, according to data from the Ministry of Economy.

Meanwhile, until 2023, the municipalities of the entity with the highest level of international sales were Querétaro, El Marqués, Colón, San Juan del Río and Corregidora.
