In light of the arrival of compatriots deported from the United States, the state’s Labor Secretariat (ST) will adjust the operating rules of three programs to include people who are repatriated to Querétaro.

These are the unemployment insurance programs, the training program to find a job, and the monthly financial support of 1,000 pesos to women with children from 0 to 12 years old, said the Labor Secretary, Liliana San Martín Castillo.

The adjustment to the operating rules consists of specifying that the program also applies to repatriated Querétaro residents.

“We are making changes to our formal employment strengthening programs, specifically: unemployment insurance that applies when someone involuntarily loses their job and seeks a way to get back into employment, we are already making that change to our operating rules,” she said.

Last year, she explained, the budget for unemployment insurance was exhausted; She anticipated that this year, in accordance with the demand, this initiative will continue to be promoted.

Regarding the second program, she explained that it consists of providing training to the worker once the agency links him to a company, based on his professional profile.

The support program for child care, focused on women, is a monthly support of 1,000 pesos for each child from 0 to 12 years old, in addition to linking them to a source of employment.

“In general, these are programs that we have in our state and that we are adjusting the operating rules so that it also applies to repatriated Queretaro men and women. (…) In all of them they do not apply (to include deported people), but in these three (programs) at least they do,” she argued.

The secretary explained that they will also be able to access the vacancy pool that the ST has and that currently has 3,000 job offers.

“Our vacancy pool covers all sectors and professional profiles. It will depend on the profile of the repatriated Querétaro employee to offer them a job opportunity,” he explained.
