The above, after the arrest of “El Fresa” by the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) with a shipment of 8.8 kilograms of cocaine.
In this context, Américo Villarreal through his Facebook account, pointed out that in the note where they link him as well as Luis Roberto García, who works in the government of Tamaulipas, they want to link them with said arrest.
“This is totally false, we have no link, nor any relationship with the person who is supposedly detained for illegal acts in the United States. I do not know him, he is not a relative, he is not a friend. So we take advantage to say and categorically deny this,” he said.
He argued that it is a campaign that has been brewing to discredit him and to try to tarnish his image, a campaign that has been going on for a long time and that today is exceeding the limits.
“We are in favor of freedom of expression, we defend freedom of expression, but there are many irresponsible media, social networks and people who have an opinion, that the freedom of expression that we defend has been turned into a freedom to lie,” he said.
He warned that the note where he is shown with Luis Roberto García, and where they attach some documents of an alleged arrest, is a montage.
“This does not exist, we are not the people who are there in those documents, and we have no relationship with them,” he said.
He pointed out that they will continue working very hard with their responsibility in the Welfare Delegation in Coahuila, as well as in Tamaulipas, with the team they formed which is the “Avanzada Tamaulipeca,” and their only interest is to support the movement as well as those most in need, and to continue working so that the transformation becomes a reality in Mexico.
