A strong operation was carried out in the streets of Guadalajara, Jalisco, where elements of the State Police detained two passenger trucks that had allegedly been kidnapped.

According to the first reports, the passenger trucks were detained on the Lázaro Cárdenas 1792 road, Del Fresno neighborhood, in Guadalajara.

Unofficial information indicates that the State Police secured the units after a chase broke out of the 2 trucks that were transporting Central American migrants, who were to be repatriated.

According to the information, the two vehicles were intercepted by students from the Miguel Hidalgo Rural Normal School in Atequiza who tried to hijack the buses.

So far, the state security authorities have not confirmed the details of the operation, but it is expected that in the next few minutes the reason for the detention of the buses will be revealed.

Hours later it was reported that the authorities carried out an operation at the Miguel Hidalgo Rural Normal School in Atequiza. As of the time of this note, no further details have been released.

Villa Hidalgo DIF president released

This event occurs days after the kidnapping and release of Brenda Marisol Montañez Saucedo, wife of the president of the municipal DIF and wife of the mayor of the municipality of Villa Hidalgo, Jalisco, Jaime Cruz Villalpando.

The governor of Jalisco, Pablo Lemus Navarro, reported this Monday, February 10, that Montñez Saucedo was located in the municipality of Calvillo, Aguascalientes.

According to the governor’s report, the rescue was achieved through collaborative work between the Defense Department in conjunction with the governments of Jalisco and Aguascalientes.

“I want to inform you that fortunately the wife of the Mayor of Villa Hidalgo has been located safely in the municipality of Calvillo, Aguascalientes; This was achieved through collaborative work between the Defense Department and the governments of Jalisco and Aguascalientes,” she reported on her X account this morning.

Local reports indicate that this Saturday, February 8, Montañez Saucedo was deprived of her liberty by an armed group upon leaving a residential area in Aguascalientes. However, this version has not been confirmed or clarified by the authorities.

This deprivation of liberty occurs in a context of pressure and threats in which the municipal president of Villa Hidalgo, Jaime Cruz Villalpando, his son Sebastián, recently his wife, Brenda Marisol Montañez Saucedo, and two other officials of the city council were already kidnapped in Aguascalientes by a criminal cell allegedly linked to the Jalisco Nueva Generación cartel (CJNG), according to reports from ministerial authorities of that entity.

According to these reports, the organization demands the dismissal of the current director of Municipal Public Security and the appointment of a new head proposed by it.
