The head of the Ministry of Economy (Sezac), Jorge Miranda Castro, reported that the government, along with business leaders, are about to approve the construction of a 600-hectare industrial park, which will be privately managed; however, he did not specify the location.
“The existing industrial parks are a mere mockery compared to others in other parts of the country; they are small industrial parks, the largest of which measures 80 to 100 hectares,” and they are managed by the state.
The secretary noted that while industrial parks are privately invested in in the rest of the country, there are none of this kind in Zacatecas, so it is necessary to have one. “We will have it soon. I don’t want to get ahead of myself.”
