The traditional beach in Nayarit that is not recommended to enter

Prior to the Easter holiday period, the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) announced the status of beaches in Mexico. Unfortunately, one in Nayarit, a popular tourist destination, is not suitable for recreational use.

Cofepris, in coordination with the state Areas for Protection against Sanitary Risks (APCRS) and the National Network of State Public Health Laboratories (RNLESP), indicated that 98% of Mexican beaches are suitable for recreational use.

But unfortunately, Sayulita Beach, a popular destination for tourists from Bahía de Banderas and Puerto Vallarta, does not meet the conditions for entry during this season.

Beaches that exceeded quality criteria and may pose a risk to the population:

Cofepris urged the public to maintain beach cleanliness during the holiday season, as it is everyone’s responsibility to preserve these natural spaces. Any anomalies related to water quality can be reported directly to the Beach Committees established in the country’s various tourist destinations.
