Mayor Bonifacio Herrera announced that he will depart from the Archbishopric to Plaza IV Centenario, “in an atmosphere of tranquility, order, and reflection.”
This time, the La Rueca theater company will perform this performance. Érick Martínez, who will play the main role (Jesus Christ), has prepared himself physically and psychologically. “This is my third year; I’m fortunate to have been called, and it’s been different. The first year, my preparation was more psychological; the second year, physical, and this third year, spiritual,” said the actor.
Cecilia Pizaña will play Mary; she is also the producer of the production, so she recognizes the importance of integrating the Passion of Christ into the program of the Ricardo Castro 2025 Festival. The Living Stations of the Cross is one of the most attractive events from an artistic and cultural perspective, so thousands of Durango residents and tourists are expected to attend along the route.
The event is this Friday, April 18th, at 11:00 a.m., departing from the Archbishopric to Plaza IV Centenario. Precautions are recommended as traffic will be closed to the main streets of the city center; the route will follow Avenida 20 de Noviembre, Hidalgo, and 5 de Febrero.
