The Lienzo Charro Monumental Zacatecas, located in the permanent facilities of the Zacatecas National Fair (Fenaza), has been designated as the official venue for the 2025 State Charrería Championship, where a direct ticket to the Congress and National Championship, to be held in Aguascalientes, will be at stake.
The choice was confirmed during a meeting held at the same venue, attended by representatives of the charro community and members of the Union of Charrería Associations of the State of Zacatecas (UACHEZ), who endorsed the decision by consensus.
This event will bring together charro teams, escaramuzas, and full charros affiliated with UACHEZ, consolidating itself as a true celebration for the charrería family in the state.
The state tournament will be organized by UACHEZ, under the presidency of Antonio Aceves, who recently assumed the position after obtaining the necessary support to lead the organization during the 2025–2029 cycle, replacing Victoriano Maldonado Ibarra.
According to the guidelines established by the Mexican Charrería Federation (FMCH), the winning team must achieve a minimum of 275 points to qualify directly for the National Championship. If they do not achieve this score, the team’s spot will be determined through regional competitions.
The championship promises to be a highly competitive event and a meeting point to preserve and celebrate one of Mexico’s most representative traditions.
