The arrival of cold front number 39 will affect the north of the country in the coming hours, where the possible formation of whirlwinds is expected, as well as the presence of strong wind gusts, caused by a low-pressure channel and the entry of moisture from the Pacific Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean Sea.
Wind gusts of between 50 and 70 kilometers per hour are expected in the north and center of the state, which could generate whirlwinds in Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas, in addition to intense dust storms in the Southeast and Laguna regions.
These winds could knock down trees and billboards, so the population is urged to heed the timely warnings from Civil Protection and exercise extreme caution in the face of strong winds.
HOT DAYS WILL CONTINUE
Although there is little chance of rain in Coahuila, high temperatures will prevail, potentially reaching 35 degrees Celsius in most parts of the country, except in the highlands of the Arteaga and Múzquiz mountains, where lows of 11 degrees Celsius are expected in the early morning.
Given this situation, the State Health Secretariat and the Undersecretariat of Civil Protection urge the population to stay well hydrated, wear long-sleeved clothing, preferably in light colors, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, and pay special attention to children and the elderly.
