Housing prices in Mexico are following an upward trend, explained by high demand combined with declining production.
In March 2025, housing values nationwide grew 6.8% annually, reaching an average price of 30,477 pesos per square meter, according to the Housing Price Indicator of the Analysis Department of Grupo Financiero Banorte.
According to the report, Mexico City recorded the highest price measured by state, at 56,562 pesos, which represented a 3.2% increase compared to the base period of the report (July 2024) and 2.6% higher than the national average.
Contrary to what happened in Mexico City, Tamaulipas was the state that recorded the lowest value last March, with an average home price of 16,965 pesos.
