A horrific crime has shaken the tranquility of a popular beach resort in Paraíso, where three women were kidnapped, robbed, and sexually assaulted over the weekend. The victims, including a native of Villahermosa, were enjoying a peaceful evening at Playa Bruja when they fell victim to a well-coordinated attack by a group of criminals.
According to eyewitnesses, the attackers sneaked up on the women as night began to fall, taking advantage of the last visitors leaving the resort. The victims, who had been socializing and relaxing on the beach, were quickly subdued and forced into their own car, a dark-colored Mazda.
The kidnappers then took the women to a remote country road, where they were held captive for several hours under threats and physical violence. During this time, the attackers used the victims’ phones to access their banking applications and emptied their accounts, seizing more than 100,000 pesos in cash. The car itself was also stolen.
The ordeal was not only financially devastating but also physically and emotionally traumatic. The women were brutally beaten and abused by their captors before being abandoned on the side of the road, injured, in a state of shock, and with multiple injuries that required hospitalization.
Thanks to intelligence work by the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), the stolen black Mazda was located on Monday morning, marking a significant breakthrough in the investigation. The FGE has launched a thorough probe into the incident, working closely with local authorities to apprehend those responsible for this heinous crime.
The attack has sent shockwaves through the community and raised concerns about safety in the area. Local officials have pledged to increase security measures and collaborate with law enforcement agencies to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
As the investigation continues, the victims are receiving medical attention and support from authorities and local organizations. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of prioritizing public safety and addressing the root causes of crime in the region.
