Ambitious tourism events program unveiled in SMA

The government of San Miguel de Allende presented its tourism events program for the months of May and June this Thursday.

At a press conference held in the city of León, the Municipal Government of San Miguel de Allende announced the extensive and diverse program of events for this season, reaffirming the municipality as a vibrant destination for art, culture, and gastronomy at the national and international level.

San Miguel de Allende Artisan Fair 2025

📅 Dates: April 23-27, 2025 📍 Location: Jardín Principal An event dedicated to strengthening the local artisan sector, promoting and selling products made by San Miguel artisans. 60 workshops from different communities and neighborhoods are participating, including La Cieneguita, La Vivienda de Abajo, Presa Allende, Santa Cecilia, Mexiquito, among many others. Metalwork, wool, papier-mâché, jewelry, and textile products are presented, with a wide variety of utilitarian and decorative pieces such as mirrors, lamps, rugs, hearts, and more. This fair not only generates income for artisans but also contributes to preserving traditional crafts that are an essential part of San Miguel de Allende’s heritage.
Vendimia Brava

GNP Otomí Grand Prix

CSI2: May 1-4 CSI3: May 8-11 (includes auction on Saturday, May 10) 📍 Location: Otomí Equestrian Center An internationally renowned equestrian event featuring Olympic and world champion riders. Admission is free and various amenities are offered for the entire family.
Salsa Fest
📅 Date: May 9, 2025 🕢 Time: 7:30 p.m. A vibrant show featuring national and international salsa champions and local schools. Dance exhibitions and live music for all rhythm lovers.
Millesime GNP Weekend
📅 Date: May 22-25, 2025 📍 Location: Rosewood Hotel and alternate locations An exclusive celebration of haute cuisine with world-class chefs, winemakers, and bartenders. A multi-venue experience in the heart of San Miguel.
Exhibition: “Anne Frank. Notes of Hope”
📅 Opening: May 2025 🕘 Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 📍 Location: Casa de la Cultura, Mesones 71 🔗 Museum of Memory and Tolerance This exhibition invites reflection on human dignity and hope through the eyes of Anne Frank, aimed at young people and the general public.
In addition, two very important events were announced in advance:
2nd San Miguel de Allende International Book Fair 📅 Dates: June 2-8, 2025 📍 Location: Ignacio Ramírez Cultural Center “El Nigromante” This is the second edition of this literary fair that brings together publishers, authors, readers, and families in an environment full of literature and ideas.
FASMA – San Miguel de Allende Arts Festival 📅 Dates: August 1-17, 2025 A festival with more than 100 cultural activities, in collaboration with the Austrian Cultural Forum and international participation.
San Miguel and Its Flavors
📅 Dates: June 27-29, 2025 📍 Location: Parque Juárez A family-friendly gastronomic event with dishes from the city’s best restaurants at affordable prices (all under $70). Live music, DJs, and a great atmosphere make it a summer favorite. With support from CANIRAC and municipal agencies, this edition was a resounding success.
