According to the Extended Forecast of the National Meteorological Service (SMN) of Conagua, windy weather conditions and possible dust storms are expected for the next four days.

This is due to the interaction of humidity, a polar jet stream, and a dry line, which increases the likelihood of strong winds and dust storms in the state of Chihuahua, starting this Saturday, April 26.

By Sunday, April 27, wind intensity could increase further, increasing the likelihood of the formation of whirlwinds or even tornadoes in the states of Chihuahua and Coahuila.

According to the forecast, winds are expected to reach speeds between 40 and 60 km/h (25 and 37 mph), with gusts that could range between 80 and 100 km/h (50 and 62 mph).

On both Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27, a dry line will extend over northern Chihuahua and Coahuila, combined with the entry of warm, humid air from the Gulf of Mexico.

Instability will also occur in the upper atmosphere, and the likelihood of rain with scattered showers will continue in the south-central region of Chihuahua, as well as in other parts of the country.

For Monday, April 28 and Tuesday, April 29, the likelihood of isolated rain continues in the south-central region of Chihuahua, with wind speeds of 20 to 40 km/h (12.5 to 25 mph), with gusts that could reach 60 to 80 km/h (37 to 50 mph), accompanied by possible dust storms.
The National Meteorological Service urges everyone to stay informed of its updates and those of Civil Protection authorities.
