Three young men were murdered inside a home in the municipality of Maltrata, Veracruz. The property allegedly belongs to Mayor Margarito Ramírez Brenis, and among the victims was a nephew of the mayor, identified as Beto.
The incident occurred Thursday morning. Residents of what they call the Fourth Section, in the municipal seat, reported a series of gunshots inside the property located on Ignacio de la Llave Street, between the road to Las Bezanas and Pedro Moreno Street.
Municipal police arrived at the scene, followed by National Guard and State Police officers, who found the young men around a table, shot several times.
At the scene, police conducted an inspection and seized three vans and a motorcycle, which were dismantled. One of them was allegedly reported stolen.
Authorities have not yet officially identified those killed at the scene of the attack. However, there is also talk that another relative, in addition to the mayor’s nephew, may be involved, but this has not been confirmed.
