As part of Girls’ Day, Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo led the CONMIGOBERNADORA Children’s Caravan “Festilandia,” a day of games, science, art, and learning that brought together more than 1,200 students from the Centenario de la Constitución de 1917 Elementary School.
“The most beautiful thing about Guanajuato is its girls and boys! Enjoy being children; we love you very much in Guanajuato,” said the state governor, who spent time with the students and participated in some of the activities.
Accompanied by the president of the State DIF, Juan Carlos Montesinos, Libia García shared a day of activities with the children designed to promote education, creativity, and play, with the participation of 25 state government agencies.
During the event, 47 interactive activities were offered for children between the ages of 6 and 12, including balloon twisting, fantasy makeup, jewelry making, science games, puppet shows, concerts, financial rallies, inflatable soccer, a mini farm, a math lab, virtual reality experiences, drawing, theater, catwalks, digital security talks, and even Zumba classes.
The goal of “Festilandia” is to bring government services to children in a fun and participatory way, and to promote values such as honesty, peace, respect for the environment, and scientific knowledge.
The Caravan was also attended by members of the State Government’s Legal and Expanded Cabinet, who joined in the celebration.
