A man died after an armed attack at a car wash in San Miguel de Allende, in the Jardines II neighborhood, yesterday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m. when the 911 Emergency System was informed that several gunshots had been heard inside a car wash located on No me olvidars Street in the aforementioned neighborhood. Two people were later seen fleeing at high speed.
Municipal Police officers arrived at the scene and located a person with gunshot wounds. Paramedics arrived moments later and confirmed that the man was no longer showing signs of life.
The area was cordoned off to allow officers from the Guanajuato State Attorney General’s Office to process the scene and gather as much evidence as possible. Meanwhile, Municipal Police and National Guard officers secured the area.
Unofficially it was reported that the person is originally from Comonfort and worked in the business.
