The Civil Protection, Municipal Cleanup, and Ecology Department intensified its cleaning efforts on sewers and drains in various parts of the city this Sunday, with the goal of preventing flooding during the current rainy season.
Following the specific instructions of Mayor Fabiola Ricci Diestel, operational teams carried out dredging and solid waste removal operations on Insurgentes Street, at the corner of Juan Sabines Boulevard, directly in front of the OCC terminal.
Cleaning work was also carried out on Benito Juárez Street, near El Cubito; on Cementerio Road, an area with frequent flooding; and in the Las Gardenias neighborhood, where clogged drains were also detected.
Citizens are urged to avoid littering in public streets or removing their waste outside of established hours, as these actions cause blockages in stormwater drainage systems.
