A man originally from the United States was arrested in Sonora after a search in which cartridges of various calibers were found. The report from state authorities indicates that the person now detained is from the state of Arizona.
The arrest of the man identified as Carlos and/or Luis Everardo “N,” 25, was reported by the Sonora State Attorney General’s Office (FGJES) on May 5.
The search was conducted at a property located in San Luis Río Colorado, specifically in the Solidaridad neighborhood. A total of 322 ballistic missiles of various calibers were found there.
“Carlos and/or Luis Everardo “N,” 25, originally from Phoenix, Arizona, was arrested and placed at the disposal of the Common Jurisdiction Public Prosecutor for subsequent referral to federal authorities,” the report from the Sonora Attorney General’s Office states.

At the scene, security forces found 100 .38-caliber super cartridges, as well as 104 12-caliber cartridges. There were also 79 .308-caliber cartridges, as well as 20 5.56-caliber cartridges and 19 .50-caliber cartridges.
The images shared by authorities show the detainee and the seized material, as well as vehicles and agents surrounding the property where Luis Everardo “N” was being held. It is unknown whether he is linked to any criminal group.
Members of the Criminal Investigation Agency (AMIC) coordinated with Army and National Guard agents to conduct a search of the property.
Members of the Sonora authorities reported the results of a search of a property in the Lomas de Fátima neighborhood of Nogales on April 30. Security forces found material that could be linked to a criminal cell operating in the state.
On that occasion, officers found a 2008 Jeep Cherokee with factory armor, as well as a 2005 Yamaha ATV. Also found at the scene were a Dodge Challenger, a Mercedes-Benz pickup truck, and a Chevrolet Silverado; the latter three vehicles have been reported stolen in the United States.
In addition to the vehicles, crystal meth was found at the scene. There were also bags containing various colored wrappers, mechanical presses, glass pipes, a long-gun magazine, and a pistol holster. No arrests were reported, although the search of the property was conducted following a report of armed individuals in the area.
