With the support of the Querétaro Municipal Tourism Secretariat, led by Mariana Ortiz Cabrera, the 8th Querétaro Asado Festival 2025 was presented, an event that combines tradition, flavor, and conviviality to position the city as a benchmark for gastronomic and weekend tourism.
The Secretary of Tourism, Mariana Ortiz, emphasized that this festival represents the tourism model promoted by the Municipality of Querétaro: close to the people, with a focus on diversity, shared values, and conviviality. She also noted that events like this strengthen the tourism offering and generate economic benefits for the city, in addition to improving the quality of life for thousands of families.
Mariana Ortiz Cabrera recognized the efforts of the organizers and the media to consolidate this festival as a municipal tradition with regional and national reach.
Daniel Pérez, president of the Querétaro Bar Association, outlined the details of the festival, which will be held next Saturday, May 17th, at the Juriquilla Provincial Horse Riding Center, from 12:00 to 23:00. An attendance of over 5,000 people is expected, with an estimated economic impact of 5 million pesos, the participation of 85 companies, and the creation of more than 2,000 direct and indirect jobs. He added that more than 300 room nights are expected to be occupied, reaffirming its positive impact on the municipality’s tourism and commercial sectors.
This 100% family-friendly event will bring together the best of the barbecue world, with more than 26 grills, as well as craft beer, mezcals, tequilas, Querétaro wines, cocktails, desserts, accessories, and barbecue-related products. The presentation was attended by Citlalli Camacho, representative of CANIRAC; Adriana Pulido Lomelí, owner of the Hunger restaurant; Olivier Patrick Briz Mateos; and Eduardo Álvarez Maldonado, associate directors of the Querétaro Asado Festival.
Finally, the organizers invited all Querétaro residents, as well as visitors from neighboring states, to be part of this unique gastronomic experience.
