Six soldiers were killed and two were injured in a mine explosion on the border between Jalisco and Michoacán.
According to preliminary information, the military personnel were conducting reconnaissance in an armored vehicle and, while traveling along a dirt road, detonated the explosive device.
The mountainous area where the explosion occurred is considered disputed territory by the criminal groups of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel and Los Reyes.
