The Puebla State Attorney General’s Office announced the arrest of Dulce “N,” alias “La Reina del Oriente,” who was considered a priority target for the agency for allegedly leading a criminal gang that controlled drug distribution and for her involvement in kidnappings and homicides in the capital.
According to information from the state Attorney General’s Office, Dulce “N” owned a fleet of motorcycles used to transport and deliver drugs for the criminal cell, which controlled drug sales in neighborhoods such as Clavijero, Historiadores, Casa Blanca, Flor del Bosque, and Santa Margarita. She also had a presence in Chachapa and Amozoc.
“La Reina del Oriente” was arrested on May 22, when investigative agents located her aboard a beige Chrysler vehicle in the state of San Luis Potosí, specifically in the town of Chachapa, municipality of Amozoc.
During her arrest, 106 packages containing granulated material resembling crystal, five .223 caliber cartridges, cash, and a gram scale were seized.
Dulce “N” is also identified as the owner of a drug-distributing bar, as well as several rotisseries and tortilla shops in the capital of Puebla, in addition to having a food business in Amozoc, the municipality where she lived.
The detainee is also linked to other well-known criminal leaders such as “El Grillo,” “El Masha,” and “El Jabalí,” as well as to criminal groups involved in various violent acts, such as the attack on a horse and horse training center in which seven people were killed; the discovery of four dismembered bodies in Amozoc; the murder of five people in Santa María Xonacatepec; as well as kidnappings, unlawful deprivation of liberty, and homicides.
In addition, Dulce “N” is accused of assaulting a minor and a woman in the Viveros del Valle neighborhood. She allegedly planned and ordered the attack by providing vehicles and weapons in retaliation against criminal leaders who kidnapped and murdered her husband.
The State Prosecutor’s Office also indicated that Dulce “N” is the half-sister of Héctor “N,” also a leading drug dealer who is being held in a Social Reintegration Center in Puebla.
After being placed before the Control Judge, during the initial hearing, charges were filed and a court order was issued against her as a probable perpetrator of crimes against public health, including possession for the purpose of supplying methamphetamine and carrying cartridges for the exclusive use of the Army and Air Force.
Dulce “N” remains in official preventive detention, and the judge ordered a two-month follow-up investigation after charging her.
