In Baja California Sur, several violent incidents have recently occurred in the municipalities of Loreto and Comondú. At different times and locations, gunshots were reported, along with people injured or killed by firearms.
Authorities have begun investigations to determine what happened, but so far no details have been released regarding the cause or who may be responsible.
What happened in Ciudad Constitución?
That same morning, authorities received another report of a dead man in the Pueblo Nuevo neighborhood of Ciudad Constitución. Although the discovery was initially reported, no details were given regarding his identity or cause of death.
The investigation revealed that the man, approximately 35 years old, died from gunshot wounds to the chest. He was found dead inside a home located on several streets in the neighborhood.
The State Criminal Investigation Agency processed the scene and collected evidence for forensic analysis.
As in the previous case, the body was transferred to the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO), and the individual remains unidentified. The investigation remains open to clarify the incident and locate those responsible.
What happened in Loreto?
On Saturday morning, the State Attorney General’s Office (PGJE) reported on a similar incident in Loreto, where a man was found dead from gunshot wounds.
This municipality has experienced several acts of violence recently, so many people are wondering if it is a safe place to visit or live.
The initial report indicated a police response after hearing gunshots in the Miramar neighborhood. The man, approximately 1.65 meters tall, with a white complexion and a thin build, was found inside a home with gunshot wounds.
He was wearing blue shorts, a blue T-shirt, and white tennis shoes. The corresponding steps were taken to secure the scene and collect evidence that will be analyzed in specialized laboratories. The body was sent to the SEMEFO (Forensic Medical Service) for an autopsy.
What happened in Los Cabos?
In the early hours of Sunday, a body was reported found on a dirt road connecting two major boulevards in Cabo San Lucas.
Authorities responded to the scene after receiving the alert, but the victim’s identity and the precise circumstances of the case were not initially disclosed.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers confirmed the body was that of a man approximately 30 years old, with a stocky build and dark complexion.
He was dressed in a gray T-shirt and blue jeans and was found in a dirt stream with his head covered by a black cloth and several stones on top.
The body was taken to the SEMEFO (Forensic Medical Service) for an autopsy. Forensic experts collected evidence that is now being analyzed, while the specialized unit began an investigation for intentional homicide.
To date, the victim remains unidentified. In all of these incidents, the PGJE opened investigations to clarify what happened.
Furthermore, these cases are added to other recent incidents in the north of the state, such as one that occurred in Loreto, where a man was found dead from gunshot wounds.
