Mayor of Cosío expects the corresponding complaint to be filed
For his part, the mayor of Cosío, Francisco Javier Domínguez López, stated that he is waiting for the victim or a family member to file a formal complaint in order to provide the necessary support and assistance.

However, he also emphasized that the State Police has been of great help in maintaining security in the municipality, which borders some designated high-risk areas in Zacatecas, such as Cuauhtémoc and Luiz Moya.

So far, state authorities have not issued an official statement regarding the events; however, the recording has generated various messages among internet users, who are calling for a review of the police force’s operating protocols.
