Tierra Caliente, Michoacán.- Members of the Michoacán Nueva Generación Cartel attacked the Felipe Carrillo Puerto (La Ruana) police station in the municipality of Buenavista.
Residents of this Tierra Caliente town warned of the criminal offensive being perpetrated by this criminal group, with heavily armed individuals traveling in at least twenty vehicles, including monster-type vehicles.
The attack, which included explosives, is being contained by the residents, as there has been no response, so far, from the military.
Residents of surrounding communities reported that the armed attack and the explosions of the explosives can be heard for several kilometers around.
The residents of La Ruana are calling for the urgent intervention of state and federal forces, they said, to prevent a massacre.
