Puerto Vallarta hosted the second Jalisco 2030 Tourism Consultation Forum, where more than 150 industry representatives agreed that the continued existence of established destinations like this one depends on their ability to innovate, integrate the community, and connect with new audiences.
The meeting, organized by the state Tourism Secretariat, brought together national and international specialists who discussed strategies to reshape the tourism offering and enrich the design of the 2025–2030 State Tourism Plan.
During the forum, specialists from companies such as Expedia, Despegar, Grupo Posadas, Airbnb, and Beautiful Destinations highlighted the need to build authentic, digital narratives that reflect local identity. Following the main panel, thematic roundtables were held to compile proposals focused on community inclusion, sustainability, and tourism diversification, which will be considered in the development of the 2025–2030 State Tourism Plan.
