The Querétaro Municipal Tourism Secretariat announced that more than 450,000 tourists are expected to visit the state capital during the upcoming summer vacation period, representing one of the busiest times of the year and an estimated economic impact of more than 1.2 billion pesos.
The head of the agency, Mariana Ortiz Cabrera, explained that summer is the longest vacation period, so a wide range of activities has been prepared for residents and visitors, with the Historic Center being the main attraction. Scheduled activities include tram tours, themed tours of legends, visits to temples, museums, and sites of significant heritage value.
Furthermore, this year’s vacation will coincide with the commemoration of the 494th anniversary of the city’s founding, which will enhance the tourist offering with free tram tours and cultural, culinary, and craft events. Those interested in participating should register through the Ministry of Tourism’s social media channels, where the full schedule of activities will also be available.
