The Access Interchange to the Port of Veracruz, being built by the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT), will benefit more than 700,000 residents of the municipalities of Veracruz, Medellín, Jamapa, and Boca del Río.

In a statement, it was reported that this project is located on Federal Highway 140 Xalapa–Veracruz, between kilometers 93+350 and 95+320. This is considered the second busiest road in the state, currently registering a daily vehicle capacity of more than 34,000 vehicles (TDPA).

Its modernization will allow a reduction of up to 25 minutes in access and travel times, directly benefiting those who use this avenue daily to go to work, study, transport goods, or access services. It consists of 1,970 meters in length, a bridge-type structure of 873 meters and two accesses: access A (Xalapa-Veracruz) of 458 meters, and access B (Veracruz-Xalapa), of 640 meters.
