On Monday afternoon, an Ómnibus passenger bus overturned at kilometer 168 of the Durango-Sombrerete highway, near the community of San Antonio de Belén, in the state of Zacatecas. The accident occurred before reaching the municipality of Sombrerete.
According to unofficial information, a girl of approximately four years of age, presumably from the state of Durango, died at the scene. The victim’s identity has not yet been confirmed.
Authorities have not issued an official report on the number of injured people. Emergency services responded to the scene to provide care to the affected passengers and secure the area.
The cause of the accident has not been determined. At the time of writing, the bus company has not issued a public statement, and state authorities continue to process the scene.
The 54-year-old victim was diagnosed with head trauma.
