Sinaloa strengthens Mazatlán’s promotion in Canada and the US; it is presented as an ideal winter destination.

The Government of Sinaloa, through its Ministry of Tourism, conducted a promotional tour of northwestern Canada and the United States, presenting Mazatlán as the ideal winter destination.

Mireya Sosa Osuna, state Secretary of Tourism, explained that this week, more than 300 travel agents have been trained, learning about the port’s tourism strengths, such as its warm climate, air connectivity, cuisine, and hospitality.

“We have been training more than 300 travel agents this week in the Road Show we held in northwestern Canada and the United States. We were in Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Vancouver, Seattle, and Portland, sharing the hotel capacity and all the tourist attractions of the port of Mazatlán, its delicious cuisine, history, the fact that it is the only sun and beach destination with a Historic Center in the country, and, of course, a place where you can experience a sea of stories,” she stated.

This promotion, carried out in coordination with the Mazatlán Hotel and Tourism Association, is part of a strategic tour that includes six key cities on Canada’s west coast.

This strengthens our international promotion so that thousands of Canadians choose Mazatlán for their vacations this winter season.

“We are very pleased to be working hand in hand with the Mazatlán Hotel and Tourism Association, who are great allies, and of course our friends at Sunwing and WestJet, the main airlines flying from Canada to Mazatlán. They offer nine direct routes, and this year they will begin operating early, which will generate greater economic benefits and a higher number of passengers,” he noted.
