This Saturday, several states joined the national mobilization called by the nonprofit civil association Red Nose, with the goal of demanding that the federal government provide medicines and chemotherapy for those in need.

The national march “We Want Medicine” took place in at least three cities across the country, including Guadalajara, Villahermosa, and Oaxaca.

“We deserve a decent healthcare system” and “We want medicine” were some of the slogans of the participants in these mobilizations.

In videos shared by social media users, slogans can be heard during the Oaxaca march, such as “Oaxaca partying and the children dying,” among others.

The Red Nose AC collective indicated that demonstrations will take place this Sunday in Toluca, León, Guanajuato, Aguascalientes, Atotonilco el Alto, Jalisco, Uruapan, Michoacán, Cancún, and Mexico City.

In the nation’s capital, the mobilization will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Angel of Independence. Participants are also encouraged to wear white clothing as a symbol of solidarity with patients.

The group has maintained its demand for medication supplies in the face of shortages in the public health system and despite promises from the federal government.
