With the goal of creating an agenda to promote entrepreneurship, institutions from Querétaro and Bogotá, Colombia, signed a memorandum of understanding.

The agreement involves the Querétaro Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (IQEI), the Secretariat of Economic Development of the state capital, and the District Secretariat of Economic Development of Bogotá.

The purpose is to develop an intergovernmental agenda that benefits the entrepreneurial ecosystem of both regions, the IQEI reported in a statement.

The agreement represents a strategic alliance that will allow entrepreneurs to access training opportunities, international networking, and knowledge transfer, stated IQEI Director Adolfo de la Isla Espinosa.

Through the agreement, he stated, they intend to establish international channels for entrepreneurs in the state.

“This agreement with Bogotá reflects our vision of opening international doors so that Querétaro entrepreneurs can grow and compete globally,” he said.

In this context, the Querétaro institute seeks to promote local entrepreneurs through roundtables, workshops, virtual meetings, and spaces that encourage the growth of their projects.

Therefore, the agreement between Bogotá and Querétaro represents a step forward in the internationalization of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, added the Secretary of Economic Development of the municipality of Querétaro, Alejandro Sterling Sánchez.

During the tour, meetings with Colombian authorities and institutions are also planned, according to information from the municipality of Querétaro.
