The first cold front of the 2025-2026 season will enter Mexico this Monday, September 1, the National Meteorological Service (SMN) reported through the National Water Commission (Conagua).

The arrival of this system will mark the beginning of the cold front season, which will extend until May 2026, with an estimated 51 to 56 fronts throughout the period.

In an official statement, Conagua detailed that this first cold front will move over the northeast of the country, causing wind gusts of 40 to 60 km/h, cooling temperatures, and the possibility of very heavy rainfall in states such as Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas.
