This Monday, nearly 23.4 million elementary school students will return to classrooms at schools across the country for the 2025-2026 school year, after the summer vacation period.
According to the school calendar, the first day of recess will be September 16th, and the school holidays will begin on December 22nd.
Security authorities in all states will implement special operations for the start of school to support parents.
In this regard, the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) stated that this school year will consolidate the new paradigm of the New Mexican School, which promotes “equity, excellence, and continuous improvement in education” so that girls, boys, adolescents, and young adults achieve comprehensive human development.
Additionally, various activities will be implemented, such as the “Live Healthy, Live Happy” strategy, to prevent health problems and serve more than 11 million children in primary education.
