The State Government, through the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur), announced the 2025 Mole de Caderas Festival and the Ñuu Savi Guelaguetza, which will take place from October 10 to 12 in Oaxaca de Juárez and the Heroic City of Huajuapan de León.

The festival will kick off in the Oaxacan capital from October 10 to 12. During these three days, the public will be able to visit 20 food stands and 5 craft stands, as well as enjoy an artistic program that celebrates the region’s traditions. These activities will take place from 12:00 to 18:00 in the Plaza de la Danza.

On October 11, starting at 1:00 PM, the Huajuapan Fairgrounds will host both the festival and the Ñuu Savi Guelaguetza.

In this regard, Saymi Pineda Velasco, head of the Oaxaca Ministry of Tourism, emphasized that during this season, the state capital expects hotel occupancy of 52.98 percent, with the arrival of 12,307 tourists and an economic impact of just over 66 million pesos. Meanwhile, in Huajuapan de León, an estimated 11,831 visitors are expected to generate revenues of approximately 18 million pesos.

She also reported that this year there will be coordinated activities with the Secretariats of Culture and Arts of Oaxaca (Seculta) and Economic Development (Sedeco), as well as with the Institutes of Native Languages ​​of Oaxaca (ILEO) and Sports (Indeporte).

These festivities contribute to others that highlight the richness of the Mixteca region: the Barbecue and Craft Beer Festival will be held on October 12 in Villa Tejúpam de la Unión; The Traditional Music Concert at the Open Chapel of San Pedro and San Pablo Teposculula and the Mixteca Rodeo in Huajuapan de León will take place; while the Mole Negro Festival will take place in Tlaxiaco on the 18th.
