Iberojet, the airline of Ávoris Corporación Empresarial, has announced the launch of a new direct and exclusive route between Madrid and Querétaro, operated with Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The service will begin on December 20th with two weekly flights, consolidating the company’s strategy in the long-haul segment. With this operation, Spain will have a direct link to one of Mexico’s most dynamic industrial regions.
The agreement between Iberojet and the State of Querétaro will connect Madrid with the Bajío Region, a geographic and economic area in central Mexico characterized by its temperate climate, fertile soil, and significant industrial development. Sectors such as automotive and aerospace are prominent in the area, which consists primarily of Guanajuato, Querétaro, Aguascalientes, and San Luis Potosí, as well as parts of Jalisco, Michoacán, Zacatecas, and the Jalisco Highlands.
The route will offer more than 800 weekly seats and is part of Iberojet’s regular schedule. In addition to passenger transport, this connection paves the way for the development of air cargo activity to and from this Mexican region.
“This historic agreement with Querétaro reflects our commitment to opening new doors for Spanish travelers to destinations full of opportunities. Querétaro is a region that combines economic dynamism and cultural charm, and we are convinced that this route will become a privileged bridge between Spain and Mexico,” emphasized José Ignacio Lugo, CEO of Iberojet.
Tourism and Tour Operators
The launch will also be reflected in the offerings of Ávoris’s tour operators. Travelplan and Catai will promote Querétaro in the Spanish market, while Special Tours is preparing tour packages through Spain and Europe designed for the Mexican public, taking advantage of the new connection.
With the opening of the Madrid–Querétaro route, the airline expands its intercontinental network and strengthens its role as a connector between Europe and America.
