A TikToker recorded the alleged wailing of La Llorona on the streets of Guanajuato, and his post has gone viral among social media users.

As is often the case in these cases of alleged paranormal activity, many internet users expressed disbelief, while others shared anecdotes of similar experiences.

Similarly, the author of the video, a young drummer from Guanajuato, later shared a second clip where he explains his alleged encounter with La Llorona, a legendary ghost from Mexican folklore.

Young man records alleged wailing in Guanajuato; what happened?
From his TikTok profile, Oso Polar Drums, @maximoulises777, he shared the video in which he supposedly captured the ghost’s wail.

In the recording, the drummer can be seen walking through the streets of Guanajuato at night while recording.

A tense atmosphere is noticeable, as in the distance, some dogs can be heard barking, along with the supposed wailing of La Llorona.

“What’s that?” asks the young man, quite frightened, who continues to record the street, which is completely deserted, as well as the entrances to the surrounding alleys, while the wailing continues to be heard.

After the clip was posted, several TikTok users pointed out that it could very well have been a dog howling, joking and trying to find a logical explanation for what is seen in the video.

Others, in addition to believing him, shared anecdotes and recalled the colloquial saying: “If you hear it far away, it’s near; and if you hear it near, it’s far away.”

After his video went viral, Oso Polar Drums published a second, longer clip in which he explains the context of his experience of the moment he allegedly heard La Llorona.

In this recording, where he also walks the streets of Guanajuato at night, he recounts the moments before he heard the wail, when the dogs started barking and he felt chills run down his spine.

In fact, although he’s walking on a different route, he’s heading toward the spot where he heard La Llorona, although he points out that it’s earlier than the previous time, apparently around 11:30 p.m., and there are even people walking the same way he was.

Although he seems nervous and a little scared, he reached the spot where he experienced the paranormal moment and, after recording for a few seconds, without anything happening, continued on his way.

“We’re going to become influencers hunting witches,” he says jokingly at the end of the video, after noting that he didn’t feel any “bad vibes.”
