Mazatlán maintains real estate boom despite urban adjustments

The city of Mazatlán continues its real estate boom, consolidating its position as a hub for real estate investment, despite the urban adjustments being made to current regulations.

Since the start of the current administration, eight subdivisions have already been designated, and it is estimated that more than 25 projects are awaiting authorization, reported Julio Osuna Sandoval, Director of Sustainable Urban Development.

“There are people who had already made progress with their procedures, and with the changes in the urban planning program, the classification of their area was modified. We are attentive to each case and working to respond to them as soon as possible,” said Osuna Sandoval.

The official emphasized that the developments cover different areas of the city, both north and south, and include everything from horizontal subdivisions to vertical towers, reflecting the diversification of the housing sector.

Osuna emphasized that real estate growth has a direct impact on society by increasing the housing supply, strengthening the local economy, and creating jobs in construction and related services.

However, he acknowledged that recent changes in urban planning have delayed some projects and required adjustments to comply with current regulations.

“Mazatlán remains an attractive investment destination, but we must balance development with urban order and citizen well-being.

“Planning helps us foster the city’s growth and ensure that residents have access to services, mobility, and quality of life,” he said.
