The state of Querétaro ranked 11th in the nation for exports in the second quarter of 2025. The state leads the international market for manufactured goods.
This is according to the quarterly export report by state from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI). This document revealed that for the second quarter of the year, exports totaled $146,983.5 million.
While the production of Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo León, Baja California, Jalisco, and Tamaulipas stood out in terms of export value, Querétaro was among the states whose manufactured exports exceed 90% of their total sales.
Top places in national exports
According to INEGI (National Institute of Statistics and Geography), this is the value of exports from the top 11 states:
Chihuahua: $26.23 billion
Coahuila: $17.73 billion
Nuevo León: $14.47 billion
Baja California: $13.63 billion
Jalisco: $10.249 billion
Tamaulipas: $9.761 billion
Guanajuato: $8.57 billion
Sonora: $7.519 billion
San Luis Potosí: $6.038 billion
State of Mexico: $5.419 billion
Querétaro: $4.656 billion
According to these statistics, Querétaro accounted for 3.2% of national exports. However, compared to the previous year, it reported a decrease of -2.8%.
Querétaro leads manufacturing exports
Nationally, products from the manufacturing sector are Mexico’s main exports. In the second quarter of 2025, this industry accounted for 92.3% of national exports. It was followed by mining with a 4.6% share and the agricultural sector with 3.1%.
In total, there are 16 states whose manufacturing sector exports exceed the 90% threshold; Querétaro is one of them.
Querétaro’s exports from this sector represented a value of $4.6 billion, according to INEGI. Its national percentage share was 98.9% in the second quarter of 2025. However, it registered a decrease of -2.5% compared to last year.
In the case of mining, the state did not account for any exports for the second quarter of 2025. In the agricultural sector, it accounted for 0.8% of international sales, valued at $39 million.
