The Artisanal Coffee, Chocolate, and Bread of the Dead Festival returns with a Catrina parade and a Catrina parade. This October 4th and 5th, get ready to enjoy two days full of flavor, incredible aromas, artisanal products, and many more surprises. Celebrating the best of our traditions, this event is perfect for friends, family, or just for a treat. This event promises to pamper you with coffee, chocolate, bread, and an atmosphere steeped in Mexican culture.

What activities will be available at the Coffee, Chocolate, and Bread of the Dead Festival?

Get ready for a unique experience at the Artisanal Coffee, Chocolate, and Bread of the Dead Festival. A grand Catrina parade, a makeup area to transform yourself into one, live music, and workshops such as chocolate making on a metate await you. Enjoy more than 100 Pan de Muerto offerings with incredible flavors and presentations, as well as tastings of pre-Hispanic cacao-based beverages, organic whole bean and ground coffee, and a wide variety of chocolates and cacao from different regions of the country, such as Oaxaca, Puebla, Veracruz, and other corners of the country.

There will also be a catrina exhibition, a gastronomic area with the best of Mexican and pre-Hispanic food, and many surprises. For every $250.00 purchase, you can take home coffee makers, baskets of products, and vouchers to spend with festival participants.

Best Catrina Prize

Be part of Mexico City’s most anticipated Pan de Muerto festival, which will take place on October 4 and 5 in Colonia Roma. In addition to enjoying bread, coffee, and hot chocolate, you can participate in the contest for the best catrina in traditional costume. First place will receive a prize of $1,500.00, one thousand in vouchers to spend during the event, and five hundred in cash. Festival Activities Program

The opening ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 4th at 10:00 a.m. Highlights include the Regional Catrina Parade in traditional costumes (4:00 p.m.) and the dance of the mothers of Catrinas with babies (5:00 p.m.).

On Sunday, there will also be a parade of regional Catrinas in traditional costumes (4:00 p.m.) and a raffle for the altar of the dead, worth one thousand pesos (6:30 p.m.).
