The Foreign Communities Festival (FCE) kicks off with a vibrant atmosphere. It will take place from Thursday, October 9th to Sunday, October 12th, transforming Bicentennial Park into an epicenter of culture, gastronomy, and traditions from more than 60 countries.
It features a monumental participation of more than 100 booths and a program that includes more than 100 artistic and cultural performances and 30 workshops.
Mariana Ortiz Cabrera, Secretary of Tourism, and the representative of Felipe Macías Olvera, Mayor of Querétaro, emphasized the value of the festival for those unable to travel, but that it offers them a “little corner” of each nation. “Many of us can’t go to every country. 65 countries are represented here, but what do you think? We have a little corner of their homes, their traditions, their gastronomy, represented here.”
The event offers visitors the unique opportunity to explore the world through pavilions organized by continent, where they can taste typical dishes, purchase handicrafts, and enjoy traditional dances.
The Municipal Tourism Secretary also emphasized the family-oriented and community-oriented nature of the event, which takes place in Bicentennial Park to offer a spacious and comfortable space.
“We live with you, as neighbors, as friends of our children at school, as coworkers, and that is why it is so important that we are united, that we build bonds,” she stated, addressing the exhibitors. “We say that in Querétaro there are no foreigners. We are Queretaro residents united in the hearts of many countries.”
It should be noted that two free transportation routes will be available, operating from this Thursday through Sunday. The service will be free, but users must register their Qrobús card upon boarding.
