Along with Governor Salomón Jara Cruz, President Ray Chagoya participated in the inauguration of the 2025 Mole de Caderas Festival, held in the Plaza de la Danza, a space that once again brought together Oaxacans around their culinary and cultural roots.
During his speech, the mayor emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting the traditions that give identity to Oaxacan communities, emphasizing that Mole de Caderas represents the effort, history, and unity of the Mixteca region.
He reaffirmed that this festival is also an opportunity to strengthen tourism, the local economy, and collaborative efforts between municipalities, traditional cooks, and the restaurant industry.
In his message, Ray Chagoya expressed that for the Municipal Government of Oaxaca de Juárez, these celebrations reflect the vision of a clean, safe, and orderly city, where culture flourishes thanks to the collective effort and collaboration between the different levels of government.
The event was attended by representatives from the state’s tourism and cultural sectors, who agreed that Oaxaca de Juárez continues to consolidate its position as the state’s cultural and gastronomic capital.
The 2025 Mole de Caderas Festival, which will take place in the capital throughout the weekend, brings together traditional chefs, authorities, and visitors who celebrated the power of the Oaxacan Mixteca region, once again turning the Plaza de la Danza into a symbol of pride that unites all regions of Oaxaca.
