Learning to drive a vehicle is an essential skill for adulthood, as it provides independence, mobility, and job opportunities. With those looking to learn from scratch and safely, the Carlos Slim Foundation, through its Aprende platform, offers the free “Driver Training” course, designed to prepare users to obtain the Type A license required to drive private cars and motorcycles.
The course is aimed at beginners and consists of seven lessons lasting a total of 68 hours. It includes 42 videos and infographics that explain driver responsibilities, traffic regulations, and their practical application in daily driving.
Highlights include defensive driving, road signs, basic vehicle maintenance, and the correct way to respond to accidents, hit-and-runs, or violations. The course also seeks to promote responsible driving habits and technical knowledge of the vehicle.
The course is completely free, and a certificate of participation is awarded upon completion. To enroll, simply click on the Driver Training course link on the Aprende.org platform, register, and access the educational materials, available 24 hours a day.
