At the invitation of the State Secretariat of Education, the Municipal Government, through the Directorate of Economic Development and Tourism, reaffirmed its commitment to join forces and work on opportunities for student entrepreneurship, as well as employment opportunities for their present and future.
The Director of Economic Development and Tourism, Valeria Gutiérrez Velasco, emphasized that any action focused on benefiting youth is necessary and of utmost importance. She spoke about various programs of the department she leads, such as the job board, the creation of job fairs, and the connection of talent to companies that need them.
Hosted by the Meritorious and Centenary State Teachers’ College, the attending authorities discussed the UNIFEST 2025 State Science, Technology, and Research Meeting, a forum that annually provides experiences for vocational guidance, dissemination of educational offerings, inter-institutional collaboration, and the promotion of science, technology, and innovation through impactful projects. The municipal department participates in this forum to strengthen its employment and entrepreneurship programs.
Finally, Gutiérrez Velasco emphasized that in terms of academic networking and engagement with the productive sector, there are important events such as the SUMMIT, a great space for young people to connect with technology giants, thus opening the door to the many opportunities available in today’s world.
