One week after the rains that left floods and devastation in Querétaro, Puebla, Hidalgo, Veracruz, and San Luis Potosí, authorities reported on the roads that remain closed in those states.
Likewise, as part of the progress of the recovery efforts, a report on the affected municipalities and towns was shared during President Claudia Sheinbaum’s morning press conference this Thursday.
Jesús Esteva, head of the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT), shared the report on damage to state and municipal highways and feeder roads due to extraordinary rains.
At the moment, the following states are reported:
Veracruz

Road clearing continues in Poza Rica and Álamos, among other towns. The work to combat landslides and clear roads in Zontecomatlán, El Paraje-Zontecomatlán, Zontecomatlán-Imatlán, and Huayacocotla-Zontecomatlán is highlighted.
Hidalgo

The official spoke about the Garcés Auxiliary Bridge II, part of the federal network, where approaches are being reconstructed, with an estimated completion time of eight days.
He also shared information about the Xochiatipan bridge, where the abutment, eaves, span, and access points are being replaced. He also shared information about the Huautla bridge, where access repairs are underway.
At the Yahualica Bridge, which connects with Tianguistengo and Joquela, authorities are working on reconstructing the approach, and they estimate completion time of seven days.
Puebla

In the state, the work on the Río Pahuatlán Bridge in Tlacuilotepec stands out, where a pedestrian bridge and an alternate route are being built.
On the other hand, on the Tlapehuala Bridge, while its rehabilitation is underway, an alternate route and pedestrian crossings are also being implemented.
Querétaro

In addition to opening access on Highway 120, authorities are working on a landslide on a feeder road in the San Joaquín area.

In total, 108 municipalities are still affected, including 69 priority municipalities and 160 isolated localities, according to figures recorded as of October 16.

Hidalgo: 28 affected municipalities, 28 priority municipalities, and 84 isolated localities
Puebla: 23 affected municipalities, 17 priority municipalities, and 21 isolated localities
Querétaro: 8 affected municipalities, 2 priority municipalities, and 10 isolated localities
San Luis Potosí: 12 affected municipalities
