This Friday, it was announced that Mexican influencer Vanessa Gurrola Peraza is being held at the Las Colinas women’s prison in San Diego, California, on charges of first-degree murder.
According to a file in the prison’s inmate registry, US authorities arrested the former Mazatlán Carnival queen last September.
This is in connection with the murder of Christian Espinoza Silver, alias “El Chato,” an alleged operative of the Arellano Félix Cartel, who was killed last year in the parking lot of a residential complex in the United States.
According to authorities, it was a direct attack. Although Gurrola Peraza’s alleged involvement in “El Chato’s” murder has not been confirmed, the influencer, with 1.4 million followers, is expected to attend her first hearing on October 20 to determine her legal status in the United States.
