With the goal of promoting accessibility and strengthening inclusion in the state’s tourism offering, the heads of the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) and the Ministry of Culture (SECULT), Adriana Vega Vázquez Mellado and Ana Paola López Birláin, presented the program “Culture and Tourism without Barriers: Inclusive Perspectives,” which includes the publication of the first inclusive tourism booklet and a guided sensory tour of the Querétaro Art Museum.

Adriana Vega emphasized that these actions reaffirm Querétaro’s commitment to accessible and socially responsible tourism, while emphasizing that the essence of tourism is building community. “Every step we take toward accessibility is an investment in the future, one in which everyone can see, feel, and enjoy Querétaro to the best of their ability,” she stated.

For his part, the technical secretary of SECULT, Luis Ricardo Arreola Moctezuma, emphasized the importance of integrating culture, education, and tourism as tools for building a more equitable and inclusive society. During the presentation, children with disabilities participated in a sensory tour and a Braille writing workshop, where they were able to experience art from new perspectives.

The inclusive tourism booklet, designed for children with disabilities, allows them to discover the state’s main attractions through touch, play, and imagination. With these initiatives, Querétaro is moving toward an inclusive tourism model, where culture and heritage are open to all, reaffirming that inclusion is also a destination.
